Formed in the
summer of 1899, this league consisted of Dunblane, Crieff Morrisonians, Vale
of Atholl, and the two Perth clubs St Johnstone and Fair City Athletic. Despite
having only five clubs, the competition’s only season overran, and the
deciding match, St Johnstone v Dunblane was held over until 15 Sep 1900, when
the ‘Heather’ beat the Perth club at the Recreation Ground 3-0 to take the
championship. |
