Originally formed in 1895 this was one of several 'supplementary leagues'
that were created in order to increase the number of fixtures for Scottish
Football League clubs. The original version disbanded in 1899 when the member
clubs joined with Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian to form the Inter City
League. It was reformed in 1904 but this lasted for only two seasons. |
