Alick Milne has researched these league and cup
winners from the Campbeltown area for the late
1930s. The Campbeltown & District League had ceased in 1931, and
through to 1933-34 all local competitions were in abeyance. Apart from
Scottish Junior Cup ties, the only games played were either at school or
amateur level, or the odd Junior friendly. Spurred on by the local newspaper,
many clubs started to reform between April and June 1934, many taking their
names from prominent clubs from the past. The Campbeltown & District Junior FA
itself was revived on 6 August 1934 Campbeltown & District Junior League
